About this Project
#CongratAGradNYU is an integrated, one-day campaign conducted during New York University's Commencement Exercises. As a global university, our goal was to create an immersive and interactive experience at our largest event for all students, faculty, family, and friends, regardless of their location.
At the Eighth Annual Shorty Awards, #CongratAGradNYU was a Finalist for Best in Education. The Shorty Awards honor the best content creators and producers on social media: Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Tumblr, Instagram, Snapchat, Vine and the rest of the digital world.
Timeline: Annually in April - May
On-site Content Management
In the weeks leading up to commencement and on the day of, we work closely with the staff at Yankee Stadium to ensure our social media content streams display properly on the scoreboards and screens throughout the stadium. As the NYU community shares social media posts, content is reviewed and selected to be featured with the entire audience at Yankee Stadium.
To help facilitate content management tags are added to the social media accounts of NYU schools and student leaders. These tags allow for quick access to key social media influencers and the ability to easily share their posts amongst the community. Content that is shared is always screened to ensure it appropriately reflects the values and diverse community at NYU.
